There is researched politeness considered in communicative and pragmatic aspect as an important category controlling communication process. Based on regulated and unregulated business letters and instructions there are analyzed the realization peculiarities of communicative category politeness in written genres of Russian business communication. There is the conclusion made about the role of politeness in modern official communication sphere.
